(Requires disc) Why do I get a Security Component Upgrade message when redeeming my Digital Copy?

If you receive a "Security Component Upgrade Needed" message when trying to install your Digital Copy, you will need to upgrade your computer’s security components. To do this, please follow the steps listed below:

1. Visit Microsoft’s Security Component Upgrade website and click on the "Upgrade" button.

If the "Upgrade" button is not clickable, please follow the steps listed below:

- Windows XP Users: Click the yellow ActiveX control bar found at the top of the Web page to run ActiveX controls, and then click on the "Upgrade" button, which should now be clickable.

- Windows Vista or 7 Users: At the top of the web page, navigate to Tools\Internet Options\Security Tab, and uncheck the box next to "Enable Protected Mode". Click "Apply", and then click "Okay". Finally, refresh your browser by pressing F5 on your keyboard, and then click on the "Upgrade" button, which should now be clickable.

When the security component upgrade is complete, restart your computer.

When the computer has finished restarting, re-insert the Digital Copy disc and follow all on-screen instructions.

If these steps do not work for you, or your Digital Copy activation code is no longer working, please contact us for further assistance.
